KORG Collection 5 — Every Iconic KORG Synthesizer in One Bundle
KORG has been building synthesizers that defined entire eras of music. The MS-20 shaped industrial and experimental music in the late 70s. The M1 became the most recorded synth in history through the 80s and 90s. The TRITON workstation was everywhere in early 2000s hip-hop and R&B. KORG Collection 5 puts all of that — plus three new additions — into a single software bundle for Mac and Windows.
If you produce across multiple styles or just want authentic KORG sounds without hunting for aging hardware, this collection covers a lot of ground.
What’s New in KORG Collection 5
Released in 2024, version 5 adds three historic instruments that weren’t in previous editions:
ARP 2600
One of the most influential modular synthesizers ever built. Originally produced from 1971, the ARP 2600 appears throughout jazz, funk, and film score history. This software version is modeled after both the ARP 2600 FS and the compact ARP 2600M, with the full analog character intact.
VOX Super Continental
The 1960s combo organ that powered the British Invasion, ska, and countless new wave records. The software version expands on the original controls while keeping that immediately recognizable tonewheel-adjacent character.
EP-1 Electric Piano
Built using KORG’s MDS (Multi-Dimensional Synthesis) engine, the EP-1 captures the feel and tone of classic 1960s electric pianos with the kind of realism found in KRONOS and NAUTILUS hardware. Covers soul, jazz, pop, and neo-soul territory naturally.

KORG’s CMT Technology — Why It Sounds Right
The accuracy comes from KORG’s proprietary CMT (Component Modeling Technology), which models the behavior of individual analog components rather than just approximating the output. Filters, oscillators, and modulation circuits respond the way the original hardware does — including how they behave when pushed into saturation or unusual modulation configurations.
This matters most on the analog instruments like the MS-20 and Polysix, where the character of the filter is central to the sound. It’s also why the ARP 2600 feels more like patching a real modular than just turning virtual knobs.
